What you can expect to learn in this course:
Led by Sukhavaha Dasi
As leaders in ISKCON, we carry great responsibility—not only to uphold our philosophy and manage day-to-day affairs, but also to preserve the culture of care and encouragement that Srila Prabhupada exemplified.
In today’s fast-growing society, leaders face increasing challenges. Trauma—especially childhood trauma—can manifest in difficulties with relationships, addiction, and mental health, and it often finds its way into our temples and communities. Now more than ever, leaders need knowledge, tools, and preventative measures to create safe and nourishing environments for spiritual growth.
Becoming a Trauma Informed Leader equips ISKCON leaders with the insight and skills to:
-
Understand trauma and its far-reaching effects on individuals and communities
-
Recognize how unresolved trauma impacts spiritual life
-
Apply preventative measures and healing approaches in leadership contexts
-
Provide safe, supportive spaces where devotees can thrive in Krishna consciousness
This course combines information, practical tools, and deep insights into the nature of trauma, demonstrating how healing strengthens both leaders and communities. It is not about bypassing human struggles—it is about integrating healing with spiritual practice so that we can lead authentically, from the inside out.
